Worship: Nurturing Spiritual Wellness

Confessions of Imperfection

I will admit that my family doesn’t attend church regularly, this is a confession of imperfection. In our fast-paced lives, we make the best time we have. We do however on those missed in person Sunday church going try and attend virtually. While attending virtually is meaningful and our intentions are true, it doesn’t have the same impact as in person. When we attend church in person it feels more impactful, distractions fall away, allows for a deeper connection with the message and with the music. I never thought I would love the music as much as I do because I didn’t grow up this way, but gosh, it hits me to my soul and almost each time I attend church in person I get tears in my eyes on the music alone. I close my eyes and just listen to those words, and they speak to me. Does this sound familiar to you? If not but you would love to feel that connection stick with me and I hope through this article it may inspire you to either go to church more or better yet, find a church if you haven’t yet! We all find our own path and I hope you find yours too.

Holistic Health: The Vital Role of Bible-Based Communities

Finding a sense of community that aligns with your belief is crucial for holistic health - physically, mentally and spiritually. A spiritual connection to a higher place uplifts the mind, body and soul.

In your journey to faith if you haven’t yet found a church, I recommend seeking one that is Bible-based. As it’s invaluable to be guided from His word each Sunday. While other churches aren’t inherently wrong, my childhood experiences emphasize the importance of grounding oneself in biblical teachings. And get to know your Bible, try and read it. You may be astounded to learn and understand what it holds for you.

The Bible holds many answers to why we should attend church. It is a place to come together and worship, to be encouraged and learn from Gods word. It will help strengthen your spiritual growth. Here are some Bible verses emphasizing the importance.

Hebrews 10:24-25: And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Matthew 18:20: For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.

Hebrews 10:23-25: Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Ephesians 3:21: To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 150:1-6: Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals

Psalm 84:4: Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise!

John 4:23: But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.

Luke 4:8: And Jesus answered him, “It is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.’”
