Empower Your Life: Break the Cycle
Break Free
Do you ever feel as though you’re just on autopilot, eagerly awaiting the next day, caught in a vicious cycle of repetition? I certainly do. Whether it’s my mental, physical, spiritual or emotional well-being, or my role as a mom and a wife, achieving goals can often feel like an uphill battle. None of us are perfect and sometimes we need to embrace the unperfect versions of ourselves vs sliding them under the rug hoping tomorrow will be a better day when tomorrow never comes because we never addressed what truly drives us or motivates us. What our goals are or our passions, why we want to achieve something and never do in hopes I will have more time tomorrow, but it just never comes.
Embracing Imperfections and Setting Intentions
In my 40 years of living, I’ve come to realize that I am my worst critic. At times, I need to simply breathe and remind myself it is okay, but you need to get back on track. I need to remind myself of why I set certain goals or pursued particular paths in the first place. Who am I doing it for? Myself, my kids, societal expectations? The pursuit of happiness and health often boils down to finding it within ourselves. You must put in the work to get results.
Prioritizing Self Care
Moms and women, in general, often put themselves last, but it’s crucial to start putting ourselves first. If we neglect our health and happiness, everything, and everyone around us may suffer. This article is a call to take back control, to inspire, empower, and motivate you, and to initiate a mindset shift.
Mindset Shift
Did you know that a simple mindset shift, like focusing on positive affirmations each morning, can set the tone for a more productive and fulfilling day? As you continue through this article, I hope you will be motivated to take back control, inspire, empower, and motivate you, and hopefully change your mindset to break from the cycle.
Diverse Paths to Healing
Everyone’s healing looks different. For some its running that marathon they always wished they could, or being the best mom, they know how to be. For others it could be connecting closer to God or walking 10,000 steps a day or overcoming trauma they had in their life or eating a more vibrant diet or overcoming a health obstacle. Whatever your pursuit is, grab it, seek it, and start taking baby steps to achieve it! Life is so short; you owe it to yourself to not waste another minute and start. Did you know that incorporating small, achievable fitness goals into your routine can significantly impact your overall well-being?

Tech-Free Evenings: Disconnecting from electronic devices an hour before bedtime can lead to better sleep quality. The blue light emitted from screens can interfere with the production of melatonin, a hormone crucial for sleep.
Gratitude Journaling: Taking a few minutes each day to jot down things you're grateful for can positively shift your mindset. Regular gratitude practice has been associated with increased feelings of happiness and life satisfaction.
Mindful Eating: Paying attention to what you eat and savoring each bite can lead to better digestion and potentially prevent overeating. Mindful eating involves being present during meals, appreciating flavors, and recognizing hunger and fullness cues.
Digital Detox: Designating certain times of the day for a digital detox—where you intentionally disconnect from screens—can significantly reduce stress levels and increase your focus on real-life experiences.
Reducing Added Sugar: Cutting down on added sugar in your diet may not only contribute to weight management but can also lead to improved dental health, clearer skin, and more stable energy levels.
Daily Movement Breaks: Incorporating short movement breaks throughout the day, whether it's a quick walk, stretch, or bodyweight exercise, can boost energy, creativity, and productivity.
Remember, the key is consistency. Small changes, practiced regularly, can accumulate into powerful, transformative outcomes over time. Choose one or a few that resonate with you and observe the positive impact on your life.
What is Your Why?
Only YOU decide what motivates you, what drives you and your why. We need to be in control of what we put into our body, moving our body, seeking help when we can’t do it ourselves, connecting to our Creator, overcoming the obstacles that are standing in our way even if it is ourselves, overcoming negative talk and reacting harshly to others. We all have things we are trying to overcome and each of us have our own daily struggles despite what is shown or portrayed on social media. This article is all about taking your control back, to inspire you, to empower you, to motivate you and hopefully to change your mindset and get out of the funk.
